Welcome to Maple Street Music…home of America's favorite old-time instrumental music!

Maple Street Music is an independent record label owned and operated by Jim Hendricks and Steve Swann. It was founded in the summer of 1996 and officially opened for business on September 1st, 1996.

The name, Maple Street Music, was chosen by Jim and Steve because it created an image of a simpler time, like the old-fashioned way of life once found so abundantly across America. These fond memories can also be found throughout the Maple Street recordings.

Jim Hendricks is the creator of these "musical memories". He's is a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, dobro, mandolin and autoharp. And with the additions of hammered dulcimer, fiddle, string bass and harmonica, his recordings capture the warmth and spirit of America's music, from the Appalachian Mountains to the great western plains.
